MOM states that eligible working fathers can enjoy up to 4 weeks of Government-Paid Paternity Leave. For a child born, estimated, or formally intended for adoption on or after 1 April 2025, the entitlement is 4 weeks. Before that date, it is 2 weeks, with additional voluntary weeks depending on employer policy.
A 5-day workweek gives 20 GPPL working days.
4 weeks gives 24 GPPL days because MOM caps at 6 working days per week.
Base entitlement is 2 weeks under the old rule.
MOM allows flexible arrangements by mutual agreement.
